QUEENS N.Y.- Loretta Motz, 87, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at her home in Cheshire. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Motz.

Loretta was born July 20, 1935, in College Point N.Y., daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Engel) Fleischer. She and her husband Charles were the former owners of H. Flessel Restaurant in College Point, Queens. They spent many wonderful years cultivating strong friendships as the owners.

Loretta has shared, that in her life, she is most proud of her family. She is survived by her sons, Charles M. Motz of Slate Hill N.Y., and James J. Motz of Lackawaxen, PA, and her daughters, Theresa Essig of Cheshire, CT, and Marjorie (James) McMahon of Lackawaxen, PA. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Joseph (Elizabeth), Melissa, Lauren (Franklin), Dennis (Sarah), James, Timothy (Morgan) and Meaghan, and her great-grandchildren, Juliette, Jaimie, Anthony, Kaitlyn, Adam, Emily, Isaac, Zoey, Finn, and Franklin. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Motz was predeceased by her son, Russel Motz, and her brother, Martin Fleischer. Everyone that knew Loretta would say that to have known her was an absolute privilege. She was a true angel on earth.

Arrangements: Friends may greet her family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, on Friday evening, July 21, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Her funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Saturday morning, July 22, 2023, at 10:00 A.M., and proceed to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish – St. Bridget Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be held at a later date in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Flushing, N.Y.
