Lloyd 'Mickey' McPhee

Cheshire - Lloyd "Mickey" McPhee IV, 36, of Cheshire, passed away Monday November 30, 2009 at Mid-State Medical center in Meriden. He was inflicted with a sudden illness and fought a courageous battle. He was the husband of Maegan (Hilliker) McPhee and wonderful father of Lloyd A. McPhee V.

Mickey was born July 23, 1973 in Meriden the son of Lloyd A. and Deborah McPhee. He was a life-long Cheshire resident where he was active with both the Republican Town Committee and served as a Board member of Planning and Zoning. He was repeatedly involved with various community projects and was a wonderful friend to many.

Besides his wife and his son Mickey is survived by his brother Willy McPhee and his wife Lisa of Cheshire; his sister Amy McPhee of Jackson Hole, WY; his paternal grandmother Viola McPhee of Cheshire; his mother-in-law Karen Vajko of Southington; his niece Riley; and his nephew Dakota. Mickey is predeceased by his grandparents Frances and William Grove; his paternal grandfather Lloyd McPhee; his uncle William M. Grove; and his father-in-law Frank Vajko.

The McPhee family would like to thank the staff of the Critical Care Unit at Mid-State Medical for all of their care and support during Mickey's illness.

Arrangements ' Funeral service will be held on Friday December 4, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Dr. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S.
