George Lisieski

Naugatuck, CT George Thomas Lisieski, 70, died peacefully on January 27, 2025 at Complete Care at Glendale Center.

George was born March 8, 1954 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Joseph and Mary Lisieski. George was raised in Naugatuck and he attended Paier College School of Art. George had a lifelong love of the arts and worked as a commercial artist in New Milford, CT, having worked for 20 years with Pineman Sign, until opening his own business, Main Street Signs, Inc. He was recognized and awarded Certificates of Appreciation by the New Milford Police and Fire Departments. George enjoyed trips with his family to Stoner Lake in Caroga, NY and Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire.

George is survived by his ex-wife and lifelong friend, Shirleyanne Lisieski; his son and daughter in law, Logan and Meaghan Lisieski and their son, George’s grandson, Colin Lisieski; his daughter and son in law, Halley Lisieski and Jared Rodriguez; his brothers, Joseph Lisieski, Francis Lisieski; his brothers and sisters in law, James Lisieski and Kay Snowden, Phillip and Norma Lisieski and Paul and Jane Lisieski; his sister, Kathy Lisieski and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 31, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending Mass is kindly asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT. In lieu of flowers and to honor George’s memory, donations are requested to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708.
