Linda S. Isaacs passed away peacefully at home with her family on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at the age of 71.
Linda was born on December 26, 1947, in New Haven to the late Edward and Barbara (Thompson) Isaacs. She is survived by her son, Matthew Northrop of Cheshire, her daughter Megan DeVylder and husband Al of Meriden, her brother Edward Isaacs Jr. and his wife Pat of Stuart, FL, beloved sister-in-law Cindy Isaacs of Huntsville, AL; her adored grandchildren Cassandra and Matthew Jr., former husband Brian Northrop of Cheshire, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Linda’s passing was preceded by her brother Jack Isaacs of Washington D.C. and her brother Richard Isaacs of Huntsville, AL.
Raised in Cheshire, Linda was a graduate of Cheshire High School. She went on to earn an Associate’s degree from Vermont College. Linda settled in Wallingford to raise her family, and was employed in the Wallingford Public School system. Ultimately, Linda’s career flourished in customer service, where she most recently was employed with Fosdick Fulfillment Center as the lead for Lauren Hutton Cosmetics.
Linda was an avid, unwavering UCONN Women’s basketball fan who would never miss a game. Linda frequented the Madison Beach Hotel where she found solace with the sun, friends, and people-watching. She was a supporter and contributor to ALS research.
Linda will be remembered for her wry wit, contagious laugh, and kind heart. She truly loved her family and circle of friends.
Arrangements- Visitation will be held on Saturday from 3 to 5 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main Street with a Service of Remembrance concluding the visitation at 5.
