Linda Louise Gordon

PLANTSVILLE - Linda Louise Gordon, age 54, passed away June 14 , 2014 at Silver Springs Care Center, Meriden, CT after a long battle with cancer. Born November 13, 1959, in Hartford, Ct, she spent her early years in Windsor and Cheshire, CT. She was the daughter of William and Marilyn Wenner Gordon of Plantsville, CT.

Linda graduated from Cheshire High School, Becker Jr. College and earned her BA from the University of Southern CT. She earned a license from the CT Center for Massage Therapy and practiced as a massage therapist in CT and GA. She also held a CNN certificate.

The great joys in Linda’s life were her Toyota truck, her loyal dogs, horseback riding, photography, ice skating, music and rock bands, dancing, poetry and travel. She will be missed for her beautiful smile, kindness, and the special small gifts and cards she made for others.

Known as Lindy Lou to her family, she leaves besides her parents, a brother, David Gordon, his wife, Pamela Skripak, niece, Hallie Skripak Gordon and nephew, Braden Skripak Gordon all of Delmar, NY and many aunts and uncles: Robert and Margaret Barber of Nashua, NH, Judy Wenner of New Hartford, NY, Richard and Maureen Wenner of West Hartford, CT, Charlotte Wenner of Bristol, CT, G. Robert and Nancy Witmer of Webster, NY, G. Thomas and Kathryn Palmer of Riverton, CT and twenty cousins and their families.

Arrangements - A memorial service for Linda will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire 111 Church Dr. Interment will be at the Gordon family plot in Hazardville, CT at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Cancer Center at Midstate Medical Center, 435 Lewis Ave, Meriden, CT 06451 or to any charity of your choice. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
