Linda Lee Ward, 75, passed away on April 30, 2022 in Naugatuck after a long-term illness. She was born in Washington D.C. on June 30, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Margaret B. Lee.
She was a hard working, loving and caring mother of two, who instilled good values and ethics in her children. She was a proud mother who loved raising her kids. Linda was a graduate of Norwalk High School in 1965 and further graduated from the New York Foundling Hospital in NYC. She was a member of the pediatric staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stamford and later worked as a special education school bus driver for Naugatuck public schools for over 15 years.
Linda Lee is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Edward R. Ward of 51 years; their children, Scott Ward and his wife, Elizabeth Fiorillo and Jeffrey Ward and his wife, Christi Ward. She is also survived by her grandson, Ethan Ward; her sister, Joyce Misorek and her husband, Ronald Misorek; brother, Donald Lee and his wife, Ardith Lee; along with several beloved nieces, Megan, Brandy and Amanda and nephews, Adam and Dennis. A special thanks to the staff at Beacon Brook Health Center for caring for Linda throughout her illness.
Calling hours for Linda will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 201 Meadow St. (Rte. 63) Naugatuck, CT. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. at The Congregational Church of Naugatuck, UCC, 9 Division Street, Naugatuck, CT (please meet directly at the church). Burial will take place at 1 p.m. at the State Veteran’s Cemetery in Middletown, CT.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Connecticut Humane Society.
