With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lilyann Hedges of Cheshire, CT, who died peacefully on January 23, 2025, just short of her 75th birthday.
Born in New Haven, CT, to Ann Marie Nutile and Joseph Frank Esposito, Lil was the second of three children. The family later relocated to Cheshire, where Lil grew up and attended high school. She waitressed at Victorian House and later worked in the insurance industry. No matter where she went, Lil was noticed for her warm, friendly nature and vivacious sense of humor.
Remarkably, Lil gave birth to identical twin boys on her own birthday, which would anchor the incredible bond the three of them shared. A single parent for the majority of her years, she worked hard to ensure her children never wanted for anything. Lil met her many trials with unfailing courage, strength, and dignity. The love of her two boys, and later her grandson, as well as her deep faith in God sustained her over the years.
Lil will be remembered and celebrated by her sons Joseph (Amy) and Michael (Andrea); grandson Joseph; brother Stanley (Kathy); sister Margie (Paul); along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Mass will be said for Lil on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish/St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire, CT.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support.
