Lillian B. Padolewski, age 95, of Cheshire entered into rest on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Walter Padolewski for over 40 years until his passing. Lillian was born on September 8, 1926 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Adelard and Corinne (Savoie) Baribault.
Lillian worked as a secretary for the Waterbury Employment Agency until her retirement but stayed very active in local organizations. She was a CCD teacher and a member of the Ladies Guild at St. Anthony Church in Prospect, and belonged to the Holy Cross High School Mother’s Club. Her volunteer work extended throughout the community and she was also an active resident at Southwick, where she lived for over 20 years.
Lillian is the beloved mother of Patricia Geissler and her husband, Harold of Southington and Joseph Padolewski of OH. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Geissler and Rebecca, Daniel, Adam and Kailee Padolewski; her cherished great-grandchildren, Iris and Ava; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Steven Padolewski; and her siblings, Roger, Ernest and Robert Baribault, Alice Donahue, Jeannette Baribault and Corinne Hardy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 10AM in St. Bridget of Sweden Parish/St. Thomas Becket Church, 435 No. Brooksvale Rd., Cheshire, CT 06410. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
