Diane Lewis

Naugatuck, CT Diane Eleanor Lewis, 84, of Naugatuck passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Waterbury Hospital. Diane spent the majority of her life residing in Naugatuck. Born July 2, 1940 in Stepney, Connecticut, Diane was the daughter of the late Robert and Eleanor (Tingley) Lewis.

Diane spent many years as a caring and dedicated employee at Southbury Training School, additionally, Diane worked at Anchor Fasteners in Waterbury.

Diane is survived by her five children Christine Fallon (Marty), Barbara Warren (Marty), Cynthia Regalado (Jose), Ronald Hubbell, (Patty) and Thomas Robert Hubbell.

Diane adored her grandchildren, Richard "RJ" Troy (Dani), Kimberly Thompson (Corey), Jamie Marcella (Matt), Jennifer Warren, Taylor Hubbell (Jason) and Victoria (Tori) Hubbell.

Diane's greatest loves were her great grandchildren, Michaela and Cora Troy, Chase and Addison Thompson, Jonathan, Katrina, Christian and Alexandra Marcella, Dahliah Warren, Brianna Regalado, Logan Duran, and Anthony, Naomi, Melina, Morgan and Eleanor Cruz.
Diane is predeceased by her brother Robert Lewis, and she leaves behind two brothers, Tracy Lewis and Craig Lewis (Bernadette) as well as her sister-in-law Ruth and several nieces and nephews, of Monroe, Connecticut.

Diane also adored her playful companions, her cats, Captain and Morgan.

When Diane wasn't meticulously tending to her pride and joy, her beautiful home, or creating beautiful quilts, she could be found caring for her flower gardens and beautiful running waterfalls which she proudly created and built all on her own.

Diane was admired by all for her strength and perseverance, one of the strongest women we've ever known! She loved spending her holidays with her family and especially loved hosting Christmas for her brood. Her family will always cherish every stitch she's sewn, every gift she's wrapped, proudly displaying her unique talents.

Services will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00am at Stepney Baptist Church, 423 Main Street, Monroe, CT. Burial will follow at Stepney Burial Ground, Pepper Street, Monroe, CT. Visitation will be Friday from 10:30am to 11:00am at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT.
