Rose Lengyel

Naugatuck- Rose (Kosko) Lengyel, 88, of 225 Lewis Street, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John G. Lengyel.

Mrs. Lengyel was born on December 12, 1920 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Louis J. and Anastasia (Merdich) Kosko. She was a graduate of Prospect Grammar School and Naugatuck High School. She was a former member of the VFW Ladies Aux, and an avid UCONN sports and a Naugatuck High School Sports fan.

She is survived by two sons, John S. Lengyel and his wife Dolly of Naugatuck and Donald L. Lengyel and his wife Ann Marie of Beacon Falls, one daughter, Rosemary Boisvert and her husband Tom of Naugatuck, one brother, Frank Kosko, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters Mary and Helen and four brothers, Anthony, Sam, John and Louis.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Cemetery, Cross Street Naugatuck with the Rev. Robert Butkus officiating. There are no calling hours and the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck is in charge of the arrangements.
