John Lengyel

Naugatuck - John G. Lengyel, 94, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Glendale Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Rose (Kosko) Lengyel.
Mr. Lengyel was born on May 24, 1920 in Naugatuck, a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Tresco) Lengyel. He was a W.W. II veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from Uniroyal Chemical, where he worked for 42 years.
Mr. Lengyel is survived by his sons, John Lengyel and his wife, Dolly of Naugatuck and Donald Lengyel, and his wife Ann Marie of Beacon Falls, and his daughter, Rosemary Boisvert, and her husband, Tom of Naugatuck. He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren and his twelve great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by seven sisters, Rose "Edie", Mary, Elizabeth, Ethel, Irene, Theresa, and Joanna, and one brother, Stephen.
Services and burial, with full military honors, for Mr. Lengyel will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
