Lendor J. "Lenny" Parent Jr.

Lendor J. Parent Jr., age 78, of Prospect passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Nancy (Perin) Parent for over 47 years. Lenny was born on June 28, 1946 in Waterbury, son of the late Lendor and Mimi (Altieri) Parent Sr.

Lenny served his country with honor and pride during the Vietnam War with the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Prospect VFW Post 8075. He earned his Master’s degree in English from Sacred Heart University. Lenny, fondly known as “Cowboy” by his many friends because of his ‘Western attire’ was an immense Elvis fan, having collected an abundance of memorabilia. He worked for many years at Uniroyal and Seal Products in Naugatuck, retiring in 2018 from Next Street where he was a driving instructor for over 10 years; and will be remembered by many for his youth boxing training at Golden Gloves in Naugatuck. 

He is the beloved father of Jason Parent and Chaz Parent and his wife, Michelle, all of Waterbury. He also leaves his cherished granddaughter, Adrienne Parent; his loving nephew, Michael Day and his wife, Nancy of Naugatuck, and their children, Kevin and Derek.

Friends may greet Lenny’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770 on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 4PM until 6PM; his funeral service will follow at 6PM. Burial will be held privately with Full Military Honors.
