WATERBURY- Lawrence W. Davis, 72, passed away Tuesday November 24, 2015 at Wolcott View Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born December 31, 1942 in Waterbury son of the late Russell and Eleanor (Reihl) Davis.
Mr. Davis was a Veteran of The United States Army proudly serving in Korea as an aviation mechanic. and crew chief repairing helicopters that flew in the Vietnam War. He was a highly skilled machinist,tool maker and a Foreman at Brucato Manufacturing Company,Inc. prior to his retirement. Lawrence was also an active member of the Wolcott VFW post 1979 where a memorial to him will be held at a later date for his family and friends.
Lawrence is survived by his brother Russell Spencer Davis of Waturbury; a sister Eleanor Davis Mahoney and John D. Mahoney of Lincoln, MA; and his two nephews Squire Davis Mahoney and Pamela Mahoney of Douglas, MA, and Reihl Davis Mahoney and his wife Sheri Mahoney of Lexington, MA. Mr. Davis is also survived buy Otis and Elvis Mahoney... two Labrador retrievers that he loved very much! Otis was very popular with everybody at the Wolcott View Manor and he was there to say good bye the day Larry passed away!
Arrangements- A Private Graveside service for Mr. Davis will be held in Bucks Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710 is assisting with the arrangements.
