CHESHIRE – Laurice M. Wardle, 93, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George Wardle.
Mrs. Wardle was born November 8, 1925, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late George and Zekkeyeh (Trobulsi) Hamaty. She was retired from the Office of the Connecticut Attorney General, where she worked as a legal secretary.
Mrs. Wardle is survived by her son, G. Alan Wardle, her daughters, Laura W. Gingras and her husband Paul, and Janet Wardle Hall and her husband Stuart, and her brother Ely Hamaty. She will also be very much missed by her grandchildren, Scott and Eric Gingras and Jason and Kendra Hall. She was predeceased by her brother, Alexander Hamaty.
Arrangements: Funeral services for Mrs. Wardle will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at 10:00 AM at the Cheshire United Methodist Church, 205 Academy Rd. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at In Memoriam Cemetery, 18 Maplewood Ave, Wallingford. Friends may greet her family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laurice’s name may be made to the Cheshire United Methodist Church.
