SOUTHBURY- Mrs. Laura (Bennett) Bannett, 90, formerly of Manor Rd., Southbury, died early Saturday morning, Jan.3, 2009 at River Glen Health Care Center, Southbury.
She was the widow of Louis F. Bannett.
Mrs. Bannett was born in Watertown, May 14, 1918, a daughter of the late John C. and Grace (Fish) Bennett. She was a member of the South Britain Congregational Church and retired in 1983 from Timex. She was a former employee of the Bristol Co. and the Oakville Pin Co.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Joan (Bannett) Geiger of Sequim, Wash. and Bette (Bannett) MacCarthy of Newtown; one son, Craig Cederholm of Waterbury; her twin sister, Lillian Brown of Arizona; 4 grandchildren, Brooke (Bennett) Castro, Ian S. MacKay, Eric Cederholm, and Holli Cederholm. She was predeceased by a sister, Emma (Bennett) Smith.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is in charge of arrangements.
