Naugatuck, CT James L. Larrivee, 62, of Naugatuck, died peacefully Monday, January 19, 2015 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by loving family.

Jim was born July 2, 1952 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Lawrence A. and Anastasia “Nan” (Paszel) Larrivee and had lived in Naugatuck for most of his life. Jim attended local schools and graduated from Naugatuck High School. Jim was best known for his work in various local restaurants, most notably at the original 1249 Restaurant in Waterbury and the Milestone Inn in Naugatuck.

Jim is survived by his nephews; James Brown, Jr., Timothy Brown and Jeffrey Dumschott, his nieces; Patti Jo Brown and Sarah Cyr, his great nephews; Daniel Maldanado, Jacob Kalinowski, and his great nieces; Jenna Brown, Emily Brown, and Vivian Cyr, whom he adored.

In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his sisters, Laetitia “Letty” Dumschott and Carole Brown, and his niece, Valerie Brown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 23, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Hedwig’s Church, 32 Golden Hill Street. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue.
