Larissa Gilham

Mrs. Larissa (Medevoy) Gilham, 82, of Naugatuck, passed away Saturday Dec. 7, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Gilham was born, in Harbin, Manchuria, China, Aug. 30, 1931, a daughter of the late Stephan N. and Anna (Morozoff) Medevoy and was a Naugatuck resident for the past two years, moving here from Columbus, OH. She was raised in Russia, later living in Australia before moving to the United States. She received her undergraduate degree, and Masters, from Perdue University. She was a retired Chemist and Linguist, having worked for the State of Ohio.

She leaves her son Greg Gilham of Columbus, Oh. and her son-in-law, Thomas Ruschak, with whom she made her home. and 6 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughters, Catherine Gilham and Helen Gilham.

A memorial service will be held in Ohio at a later date. There are no calling hours. the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is assisting with the arrangements.
