WATERBURY — Mr. Arthur Henry Lanouette Jr., age 96, of the Village at East Farms, formerly of 75 Hunt Hill Road in Waterbury and 131C Heritage Village in Southbury, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at his home. He was the husband of Doris E. (Molinek) Lanouette. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mildred (Doyle) Lanouette.
Mr. Lanouette was born in Waterbury on May 15, 1914, a son of the late Arthur H. Lanouette Sr. and the late Leda (Fontaine) Lanouette. He was retired from Robertshaw Lux Time after 47 years of service, having started as an errand boy and retiring as a general foreman. He was a member of the Waterbury Lodge of Elks, Junior Achievement and a former member of the Wolcott Fire Department. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and spending time at his vacation homes in New Hampshire and Florida.
Besides his wife, Mr. Lanouette is survived by three daughters, Patricia Malone of West Haven, Elaine Duffy and her husband, Michael, of Watertown and Claudia Michaelis and her husband, Gary, of Oakville; two sons, Arthur Henry Lanouette III and his wife, Violet, of Meriden and James Lanouette and his wife, Claudia, of Morris; one brother, Robert Lanouette of Florida; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, Alfred Lanouette.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m.
