Kathleen Baillieul-Kunin
Known for love of family, animals
LITCHFIELD - Kathleen Baillieul-Kunin, 93, wife of the late Sumner James Kunin, passed peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2014. She was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada.
A former member of the United Methodist Church in Watertown and the Union Congregational Church in Oakville, Kay was known for her love of her family and her animals. Kay loved to visit her home in Canada and to share those memories with her children.
Kay is survived by her three children, two daughters, Brenda Kunin of Woodbury, Lorraine Arcovio and her husband, Ronald Arcovio, of Waterbury, and a son, Kenneth Sumner James Kunin and his wife, Dorothy Neth-Kunin, of Naugatuck; she also leaves five grandchildren, Klye, Ronnie, David, Dominick and Jamie, and four great-grandchildren, Emily, Megan, Ethan and Justice.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends Wednesday, the morning of the memorial service, from 10 to 11 a.m.
The Kunin family would like to thank Brandywine for the care and attention they have given Kay these past 12 years.
