BEACON FALLS — Mr. Herbert A. Koslosky, 90, died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at his home. He was the widower of Rita (Cote) Koslosky.

Mr. Koslosky was born on May 1, 1921, in Union City, a son of the late Emil and Julia (Cable) Koslosky. He was a retiree of Bristol Babcock, where he worked for many years, and was a lifelong Lutheran and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Naugatuck. He served as chairman of the board of "Club Hollow," where he enjoyed spending countless hours entertaining his loving family, extended family and many friends.

Mr. Koslosky was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Panama and the Philippines during World War II, and was the recipient of a bronze service star.

He is survived by a son, Mark Koslosky and his wife, Shirley, of Naugatuck; five daughters, Sandra Mickewicz and her husband, William, of Simsbury, Roxana Duncan and her husband, Pete, of Southbury, Noela Couture and her husband, Mark, of Beacon Falls, Melissa Vanasse and her husband, Greg, of Preston, and Kimberly Shugdinis and her husband, Steve, of Naugatuck. He is also survived by two sisters, Hertha S. Koslosky and Martha M. Koslosky, both of Naugatuck; 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Paula Koslosky, and his brother, Robert O. Koslosky.

The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 350 Millville Ave, Naugatuck. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial with full military honors will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, from 2 to 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 350 Millville Ave., Naugatuck 06770; or Salvation Army U.S.A. Eastern Territory, 440 West Nyack Road, West Nyack, NY 10994.
