BARBARA LEA (SEVIGNY) KOPROSKI

Punta Gorda, FL Barbara Lea (Sevigny) Koproski, 91, widow of Alexander Stanley Koproski, died peacefully on September 23, 2024 at Page Rehabilitation Center in Fort Myers, Florida.
Barbara was born May 16, 1933 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late Wilfred and Yvonne Sevigny. Barbara graduated from St. Anne School in Waterbury and went on to have a successful 20 year career with Chase Bank in Waterbury, retiring at the age of 62.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, reliving old times, listening to her brother Bill play the piano and singing along with her sister Lea. Her favorite pastimes were reading, watching golf with her grandson in law, Dr. Terry Stepnick and enjoying time with the grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Renee and Roger M’Sadoques of Punta Gorda, FL, which is where Barbara lived, and Debra and Doug Allegrini of Bristol, CT; her son and daughter in law, Walter and Kathy Koproski of Bantam, CT; her son, Robert Koproski of Waterbury, CT; her grandchildren, Michelle Stepnick, Michael M’Sadoques, Matthew and Melissa Churchill, Nicholas and Joseph Koproski, Steven Ashmore and Ashley Bernhardt; her great grandchildren, Alexander James “Lil’ Man”, Jaydon, Zachary, Josh, Ryan, Olivia, Nina, Alexander, Theodora and Giulietta; her brother, Bill Sevigny and his partner, Frank Bytautas; her sister, Lea Sevigny and her partner, Gretchen Vancura and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Laureen Bernhardt, her grandson, Donald Ashmore, Jr. and her brother, Ronald Sevigny.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:30am at St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck, CT. Everyone attending is kindly asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT
