Beacon Falls, CT Richard Paul Komar, 64, died peacefully July 22, 2022 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford, surrounded by loved ones.
Rich was born June 22, 1958 in Bridgeport, CT a son of Eldean (Jalbert) (Komar) Duffy and the late William J. Komar. Rich was a self-employed contractor, owning and operating Komar Construction Company. He lived in Beacon Falls for the past 30 years and he enjoyed golfing, working and trips to Newport, RI.
In addition to his mother, Rich is survived by the love of his life, Michele Murtha, and her daughter, Emily Garfinkel; his children, Janine Komar, Richard A. Komar, Nicholas E. Komar (Denise Velleco) and Wallace Jasper Komar; his brothers, Gregg Komar, Stephen Komar (Kathleen), Kevin Komar (Erin); his sisters, Sheryl Gatison (Richard) and Kelly Cohen (Frank); his grandchildren, Dylan Komar and Savannah Komar and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00pm, with a funeral service to follow at 5:15pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
