Patricia Kissane

MIDDLEBURY, CT Patricia (Duley) Kissane, 86, passed away on Tuesday December 12, 2023 after a long illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waterbury on January 23, 1937, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Kathleen (Scally) Duley.

Patricia spent her childhood in Naugatuck and was a longtime resident of Middlebury, where she raised her 9 children. She will be most remembered by those who knew her for her dedication to those less fortunate, her strong will, sharp mind and quick wit, all of which she retained right up to her final days. She loved creating and giving special gifts as well as sharing her wisdom with the people she loved. Patricia cared deeply for her family who will miss surrounding her with beautiful flowers and her favorite desserts.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Machado, Lynnfield, MA, Holly White (Kevin), Rockport, MA, Tara Kissane, Huntington, CT, Stacy Winchester (John), Avon, CT and Deirdre Hadjiloizou (Mel), Jacksonville, FL; her sons, John (Dawn), Madison, CT, James (Malin), Los Angeles, CA and Jason (Jessica), Ross, CA. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Robert as well as her former husband, Robert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 18, 2023 at 11:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be Monday from 9:30am to 11:00am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
