Southbury- Kenneth Jacobowitz, 78, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of Jeanne (Kantrowitz) Jacobowitz.
Kenny was born June 3, 1942, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Louis and Lillian (Tyson) Jacobowitz. He was a Southbury resident for the last four years, who previously resided in NY.
Along side his wife of 58 years, Kenny is lovingly remembered by his two daughters Sheri and Lori and their husbands, Donny and Ed. Kenny adored his five grandchildren very much: Christian, Amy, Jess, Hunter, and Hayden as well as many cousins, aunts, uncles and family friends.
For many of you who had the honor to know Ken, also known as, Grandpa, Papa, Mr. J, Dad, and Kenny, would know his love for collecting memorabilia, telling jokes, going out to eat and changing the menu, eating Chinese food and stuffed lobster, reminiscing about Lafayette High football while playing under former NFL coach, Sam Rutigliano. Ken also loved to travel, watch the JETS, shop, gossip, socialize, drink his cocktails and most of all liven up a room.
Arrangements – A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Beth Moses Cemetery, West Babylon, New York. The family welcomes anyone who wants to attend in person, or via zoom. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, you can contribute to St. Judes as Ken was a proud supporter.
