WATERBURY - Kenneth E. Dyer, 85, passed away Tuesday evening at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marie (Dellorfano) Dyer who passed away in 2001.
Mr. Dyer was born August 5, 1928 in Millinocket, Maine, the son of the late Leon and Lottie (Boyinton) Dyer. He was employed by Robert Shaw Lux Clock for over 25 years before working at EFI in Waterbury. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed country music especially Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. He was known as an excellent painter, something he took pride in.
Mr. Dyer is survived by his sons Kenneth Dyer of Waterbury and David Dyer (Stacy) of Florida, his daughters Sheila Estes (Jim)of Cheshire, Beverly Thompson (Glenn Stokes) of Waterbury, Charlotte Surmanek (Richard)of Thomaston, Geraldine Ouellette of Florida, and Kristine Zorn (Daryl) of Cheshire; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 31, 2013 at The Bible Church of Waterbury, 240 Dwight St., at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Bucks Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
