WOLCOTT - Kenneth C. Padula, 81, of Wolcott, CT, passed away at his home in Naples, FL on Monday, March 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was married to his devoted wife, Florence (Napolitano) Padula, for 56 years.
Ken was born on March 29, 1940 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late John and Gertrude (Verrastro) Padula.
As a young man he was an active member of the Army Reserves. He spent 31 years working for the United States Postal Service. He also enjoyed working as an auto mechanic and was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. He loved going out to eat, taking road trips, and watching the Yankees and UConn women’s basketball on TV. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren grow.
In addition to his beloved wife, Ken leaves behind his daughters, Deborah Putnam of Wolcott and Maria Arend of Naples, FL. He also leaves behind his son David and wife Eve of Walpole, MA, and a sister Trudy (Padula) Robertson and her husband Dave. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Nicole Putnam, Henry Arend, Caitlin Putnam, Brandon Arend, and Leah Padula, as well as his great granddaughter Saige Arend. In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by his brother, Maurice Padula.
Arrangements: Services for Ken will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Baptist Church, 3000 North Main Street, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may greet his family at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the start of the service. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Avenue is assisting with arrangements.
