Beacon Falls; Livia S.Keith 83, passed away on Friday June 22, 2012 at St. Marys Hospital Vitas unit surrounded by her family.

Livia was born on November 17, 1928 in Waterbury and was the daughter of the late Rocco and Antoinette (Zollo) Sabia. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. She worked for Teri Travel as a travel consultant and tour guide until her retirement. She was a past Master of Rock Rimmon Grange, Past president of St. Michael's Lady’s Guild, and former organist at St. Michael's for 25 years. A member of the Beacon Falls and Naugatuck Senior Centers. Livia enjoyed traveling and bingo and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Uconn Girls Basketball team. She became Beacon Falls first Christmas Mayor and was known to many as Mom and Nona.

She leaves one daughter Francine Afonso and her husband Carlos of Naugatuck. She is predeceased by one son Thomas R. Keith and a sister Vinciann Follett.

Funeral services for Livia will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St Michael's Church, 25 Maple Ave Beacon Falls. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery Naugatuck. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 82 Fairview Ave Naugatuck is in care of arrangements. Memorial donations in Livia’s name can be made to the Beacon Hose Company #1 35 North Main St. Beacon falls, CT. 06403 or the Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund 1579 Straits Tpk. Unit C. Middlebury, Ct. 06762.
