PROSPECT — Mrs. Giovina C. "Jeri" (DiNapoli) Kearney, 88, peacefully left this world on March 2, 2012, at Village Green Health Care in Waterbury. She was the wife of Edward P. Kearney.
Giovina was born in Waterbury on Sept. 14, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Fiori and Frances (Talarico) DiNapoli. Giovina's last place of employment was at the Wolcott Police Department as a secretary in the Detective Division. She was married to Edward for 40 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Susan (Filippone) and her husband, Donald A. DeCarlo, of Wolcott; two granddaughters, Donna M. and Dana A. DeCarlo, also of Wolcott; and is predeceased by a brother, Fiore DiNapoli.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at 9:15 a.m. from the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect, to St. Anthony's Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday, March 5, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m.
