Katherine Tumbleston

WATERBURY - Katherine L. (Sims) Tumbleston, 86, passed away September 11, 2010 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis M. Tumbleston.

Mrs. Tumbleston was born April 25, 1924 in Meggitt, SC the daughter of the late Leroy S. and Etheldya O. (Wren) Sims. She resided in the Waterbury and Naugatuck area for the last 15 years.

Mrs. Tumbleston is survived by her son Francis M. Tumbleston Jr. and his wife Judy of North Carolina; her daughters Annie Valentine and her husband William of Prospect and Marie M'Sadoques and her husband Ron of Waterbury; her sister Myrtle Valerie of Stratford; her six grandchildren Tammie, Laurie, James, Christopher, Katie and Aime; her great grandson Tyler, and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements - A graveside service will be held on Saturday September 18, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Union Cemetery in Stratford. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT 06708. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is assisting with arrangements.
