WATERTOWN- Katherine Ann (Thomas) Palmer, 63, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the loving wife of Martin “Marty” J. Palmer who she was married to for 42 years.
Mrs. Palmer was born September 21, 1955 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Edward J. and Maxine (Ruff) Thomas.
She was a Para Professional in the Watertown School System prior to retirement. In her free time Katherine loved to spend time at the beach, read, bake, make play doh for her preschoolers, and above all spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Palmer is survived by four children Amy Palmer of Thomaston, Brian and his wife Kimmy Palmer of Watertown, Tom Palmer of Thomaston, and Kelly Palmer of Harwinton; siblings Dave, Richard and his wife Doreen, Marty and his wife Lee, Sue, Mark and his wife Wendy, Scott and his wife Diane, John and his wife Donna, Eddie and his wife Jodie, Brian James and his wife Stephanie Thomas; grandchildren Skylar and Trystan; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Audra, and baby brother Brian.
Katherine’s funeral service will be held 12 P.M, Saturday, May 11, 2019 at United Methodist Church of Waterbury, 250 Country Club Road, 06708. Calling hours will be held at church 10 A.M until the service begins at 12 P.M. Burial will take place in Bucks Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Ave, 06704, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Donations in her name can be made to the United Methodist Church of Waterbury.
