Karen L. Richmyer

Karen L. (Derby) Richmyer, age 55, of Waterbury entered into rest on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 unexpectedly at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. Karen was born on December 1, 1959 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Robert and Shirley (Redding) Derby.

Karen was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her beloved sons; Sean Richmyer, Michael Richmyer, Jr. and William Derby and her cherished grandchildren; Haelynn, Madilyn and Shannon Derby. Karen is also survived by her siblings; Kenneth, Robert, Jr., Thomas, James, Corey and Kevin Derby, Audrey Epps and Marie Capozzi; her former husband Michael J. Richmyer, Sr.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother William Derby.

A Memorial Service for Karen will be held at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Avenue, Waterbury, CT 06710 on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 6:30PM. Friends are invited to greet her family at the funeral home on Friday from 5PM until the time of the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
