Eugene Karabanowski

Naugatuck-Eugene (Gene) T. Karabanowski, 66 of 171 Union City Rd died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 1, 2010 while visiting family in Buffalo NY. He was married to his childhood sweet heart Mary ( Bertinetti) Karabanowski for 43 years.

Eugene was born on December 19, 1943 in Waterbury a son of the late James and Roselle (Orbus) Karabanowski. He was a retired machinist for CCPI in Naugatuck. He was a member of the Naugatuck Lodge of Elks #967, he was an avid fisherman and belonged to the Lake Quassapaug Sportsmans Club. He was also an avid NASCAR fan

Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Lisa J. Gelada and her husband Lee of Naugatuck, one son, Jeffrey Karabanowski and his wife Carrie of Getzville, NY, one sister Janet K. Palamar and her husband Stephen of Middlebury and five grandchildren, Amanda, Kailey, Alexander, Cayla, Blake.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 11:15 a.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The Naugatuck Lodge of Elk's are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. for services.
