WATERTOWN - Julia W. McGrail, 93, passed away Friday May 24, 2013 at the VITAS Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of the late John J. McGrail who passed away in 2002.
Mrs. McGrail was born October 22, 1919 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Helen (Griffin) Wrenn. She was a lifelong Waterbury resident before moving to Watertown in 2007. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a proofreader at the Waterbury Republican for over twenty years. She was an active communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and she was a member of the Washington Park Community Club for many years.
Mrs. McGrail is survived by her sons John W. McGrail and his wife Mary Ann of Detroit, MI and William D. McGrail and his wife Dawn of Waterbury; her daughters Dr. Kathleen McGrail and her husband Robert Reid of Penfield, NY and Margaret M. Guerrera and her husband Enrico of Watertown; ten grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 1, 2013, 8:15 a.m. from the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main St. to St. Francis Xavier for Mass at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
