Judith M. Sanchez

Judith M. “Judy” Sanchez, age 75, of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at her home.  She is the beloved partner of Carlos Sanchez. Judy was born on July 29, 1948 in Waterbury, daughter of the late George and Ailsa (Blasl) Arab.

Judy grew up in Waterbury and later was a stay-at-home mom who cared for most of the children in the neighborhood. She was quick-witted and enjoyed cooking for friends and family, especially Spanish food, and was known for her Café Bustelo. Family meant the world to Judy; her pride and joy was her grandchildren.

Judy is the beloved mother of Rebecca Sanchez of Waterbury; Elizabeth Sanchez of Waterbury; Hector Rosado of Watertown; and Carlos Sanchez Jr. of Prospect.  She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Jeremy Easterling, Tyler Rosado, Noah Rosado, Jonathan Martin, Mason Martin, Xander Hungerford, Jacob Hungerford, Luis Serano, and Briella Hungerford; her brother, George Arab Jr. of ME; and her sisters, Jane Ramonas of Waterbury, and Julia “Jill” Morandi of CA; and her loving extended family, Lisa Cotto of Watertown, Trish Oddon of Bristol and Tiffany DeLeon of Waterbury.
