MIDDLETOWN - Judith (Dondero) Richard, 79, passed away Saturday November 30, 2013 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was the wife of the late John Richard Jr., who passed away in 2005.

Mrs. Richard was born September 8, 1934 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Andrew and Carmela "Minnie" (Dominello) Dondero. She was a lifelong Cheshire resident where she owned and operated Casual Clothes in the 1960s as well as provided in home demonstrations of the Dutch Maid clothing line. She was a talented musician who was hired to play piano at many events. In addition to her musical talents, she had her own radio show. Most recently, Mrs. Richard was employed at Stop and Shop in Cheshire for over 10 years.

Mrs. Richard is survived by her son Gary J. Richard and his wife Ellen of Simsbury; her daughters Judith (Richard) Craig of Southington and Doreen (Richard) Fisher of New Hampshire; her sister Roberta (Dondero) Glidden of Chehsire; her eight grandchildren Mishele (Moore) Moher, Amber Craig, Andrew, Devin and Connor Richard, Anthony, Emily and Stephen Fisher; her four great grandchildren Mikala, Tyler, Harry and Olive; as well as her two nieces Christine Glidden Pittsley and Jennifer Glidden Bayne.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 74 Batterson Park Rd., Farmington, CT 06032.
