Judith Meyerjack

Judith Meyerjack, age 87 of Cheshire, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Elim Park after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of William P. Meyerjack Jr. for over 64 years. Judy was born on May 28, 1937 in Rockford, IL, daughter of the late George E. and Angeline M. (Lincke) Sorensen and has been a Cheshire resident since the early 1950’s.

Judy met Bill while she was in college and they married soon after. She traveled throughout Africa, Egypt and Jerusalem with Bill during his honorable service with the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Returning home to Cheshire, they soon started their family, Judy made a beautiful homelife for her children and husband. She enjoyed reading and stayed active with the local community, serving as a volunteer at the Cheshire Library and the Cheshire Garden Club.

Judy is the beloved mother of William S. Meyerjack and his wife, Catherine of Lincoln, RI, Laurel Zimmerman and her husband, Jeffrey, of Phoenix, AZ. She also leaves her loving grandchildren, Nicole (Jake) Popovich, Taylor Meyerjack, Kara (Nate) Cole and Brian (Caroline) Zimmerman; Her cherished great-grandchildren, Jaxon Popovich, and Graham and Merritt Cole; her brothers-in-law, Allen Meyerjack of Meriden and Emory (Nancy) Meyerjack of Cheshire; several nieces and nephews; and her many friends in Cheshire and at Elim Park Place.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 9AM at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery, Wallingford Road, Cheshire, followed by a Memorial Service at 11AM in Nelson Hall at Elim Park, 150 Cook Hill Road, Cheshire, CT.
