NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Judith (Loring) Currier, 70, of 662 Chestnut Tree Hill Rd., died suddenly Sunday April 26, 2009 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. She was the widow of Raymond A. Currier, Jr. who died in 1989.
Mrs. Currier was born in Nashua, NH, June 25, 1938, a daughter of the late Norman and Augusta (Barrett) Loring and was a Naugatuck resident for many years. She was a graduate of Boston University and was a 3rd grade teacher at St. Peter's School in Bridgeport.
She leaves a son, Raymond A. Currier, III of New Britain; one daughter, Melissa B. Leonard of Naugatuck; two brothers, David Loring of Doylestown, PA and Norman Loring of Worcester, MA ; one sister Barbara Cureau of Voorheesville, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Friday May 1, 2009 at 7 pm at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be in Perry, ME at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:30 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make memorial contributions to the American heart Assoc., 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
