WATERBURY - Juan “Johnny” Cerpa, 68, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Masonicare in Wallingford. He was the husband of Anna (Fernandez) Cerpa.
Mr. Cerpa was born September 24, 1949 in Bronx, NY, the son of the late Luis and Carmen (Rodriguez) Cerpa. Before moving to CT in 1991 from Astoria, he was a Heating Plant Technician for the City of New York. While residing in the area he was a member of the Pinebrook Assembly of God.
Besides his wife of 37 years, Mr. Cerpa is survived by his daughters Stephanie Cerpa and Brittaney Cerpa (Steve); his sons Jason Armstrong (Jamie) and John Matthew Cerpa; his sisters Jenny Morales and Nellie Cerpa: his sister-in-law Janet Cerpa; as well as his grandchildren Silas and Michael; his brother-in-law, Joseph Fernandez (Yassica); Sister-in-law, Myrna Pinckney; Brother-in-law, John Pinckney; Sister-in-law, Liza MacCalmon; Brother-in-law, Donald MacCalmon; Mother-in-law, Ana Fernandez. Mr. Cerpa is predeceased by his Brother, Luis Cerpa, and Brother-in-law, Edgar.
Arrangements - The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Alderson-Ford Funeral Home, 615 South Main St., Cheshire. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12-2pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.
