Joy Crespi Liebeskind

Joy Crespi Liebeskind, age 65 of Cheshire entered into rest at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, NY after a long illness. She was the loving wife of Stephen S. Liebeskind. Joy was born on August 12, 1952 in Rockville Centre, NY, daughter of Hope (Leeger) Pinkerton and the late David Crespi.

A caring and devoted mother and wife, Joy was also an advocate for children with special needs and their families. Joy was the Statewide Coordinator for the CT Medical Home Initiative at FAVOR in Wethersfield and previously worked as a grant coordinator for CT Lifespan Respite Coalition.

In addition to her husband, Stephen of Cheshire and her mother, Hope Pinkerton of Yuma, AZ, Joy is survived by her beloved children, Joshua Liebeskind of New Haven and Sarah Liebeskind of Watertown. She is the sister of Tony Crespi and his wife, Cheryl of Meriden, Scott Crespi and his wife, Becky of West Hartford, Wendy Morgan of Yuma, AZ, Louisa Crespi of Tokyo, Japan, and Jodie Silver and her husband, Michael of Las Vegas, NV. Joy also leaves her step-mother, Ruth Crespi of Bloomfield and several cherished nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet Joy’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410 on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5PM until 6:30PM. A Celebration of Joy’s Life will be held at 6:30PM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
