WATERBURY- Jovita Roman, 83, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at her home in Waterbury.
She was the wife of Dario Torres, of Puerto Rico.
Jovita was born on February 15, 1929, in Caguas, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Ciprian Roman and Elena Castro.
Jovita was a homemaker all her life a dedicated wife, mother and grand-mother.
She is survived by a brother, Jacinto Rosado of CA, a sister Maria of PR and predeceased by a brother Pedro Roman, of PR. She leaves a daughter Maria Elena Gonzalez, and son William Gonzalez of Waterbury. Jovita was predeceased by 2 sons and a daughter, Luis A Gonzalez (son), Jose M. Gonzalez (son) and Maria A. Gonzalez (daughter). She leaves 21 grand children, 43 great-grand children and 3 great-great grand children.
Arrangements- Calling hours for Jovita will be held Saturday July 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 P.M at The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave, 06710. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Puerto Rico her homeland. Donations in her name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
