THOMASTON – Josue J. Cruz, 30, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Yale-New Haven Hospital, after a courageous battle with a rare illness.
Mr. Cruz was born August 3, 1989, in Bridgeport, a son of Miguel Cruz Sr. and Nilda (Roig) Cruz. He was a financial manager for Executive Honda in Wallingford.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cruz is survived by his brothers, Miguel Cruz Jr. and Joel Cruz, and his sisters, Jerusalem Cruz, Debora Cruz, and Ana Cruz. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Angelina Rosado.
Josue is further survived by an amazing network of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues, and those whose bond with him went beyond blood. They along with his immediate family filled his life with an unbelievable amount of love.
Josue graduated from NVCC in 2010, was a proud member of student government representing the digital arts club as president for 2 years, taught children to draw, volunteered at the St Vincent De Paul soup kitchen, mentored youths in a local men’s group, never shied away from trying something new, loved to arm wrestle, would offer a hand to anyone reaching for one no matter the hour, and had a sense of humor that will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
Arrangements – Friends may visit Josue’s family on Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 496 Chase Avenue. Words of remembrance will begin at 12:30. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
