Josephine Roberts

CHESHIRE- Josephine P. Roberts, 84, passed away Sunday April 17, 2011 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut at Bradley Memorial. She was the widow of Edmund A. Roberts.

Josephine was born November 14, 1926 in Cheshire, daughter of the late Stanley and Felicia (LaBendz) Petrowski.

She was a graduate of Commercial High School in New Haven Class of 1944. She was employed as a housekeeper at Elim Park prior to her retirement, and was a life long Cheshire resident.

Josephine is survived by three sons Gary and his wife Deanna Roberts of Meriden, Edmund Jr. and his wife Stacey Roberts of Wallingford, and Mark Roberts of Cheshire; three daughters Barbara Vece of Wallingford, Joanne Faulker of Meriden, and Mary Roberts of Southington; twelve grandchildren Jeremy, Maranda, Rebecca, Felicia, Jeffrey, Alyssa, Kathryn, William, Stephanie, Allyson, Danielle, and Michael; and four great grandchildren Janelle, Haley, Zyaira, and Michael Jr. She was predeceased by her daughter Joyce Reynolds; five brothers Ray, Edwin, Stanley, Adam, and Paul Petrowski; and two sisters Helen Humiston, and Stephanie Box.

Arrangements- A Service for Josephine will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410 at 7 P.M. Calling hours for Josephine will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 5 to 7 P.M at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Donations in Josephine's name may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter, 659 Tower Ave, 1st Floor Hartford, CT 06112.
