Joseph W. “Joe” Tooley, age 31, of Cheshire passed away unexpectedly on July 11, 2018 in Sharon, CT. He was the beloved son of Thomas and Joan (Welch) Tooley of Cheshire, and was born on October 23, 1986 in Springfield, MA.

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his loving siblings, John Tooley (Danielle Petrin) of Las Vegas, NV and Maggie Tooley of Cheshire. He is also survived by his significant other, Carrie Dance and her 3 children; his grandmother, Patricia Tooley;, his Aunts and Uncles; Kathy and Bill Wagner, Maureen and Dave Shaffer, Carole and Tim Sterritt, Don Tooley, Michael and Meadow Welch, Kenneth Welch, Stephen (Jean Barnes) Welch, Marie and Henry Coons, J.P. and Marian Welch, Rosemary (Steve Penna) Dell’Aera, Daniel Welch; and his 20 first cousins, Michael (Donna) Cauley, Sean (Becky) Welch, Allison, Megan, and Katelyn Welch, Moira (Nicholas) Adams, Brendan and William Welch, Christina and Casey Coons, Brittany (Andy) Noble, Lionel (Heather) Welch, Anna (Kit) Paschal, Jason and Tara Manry, Billy, Ben, and Paul Sterritt, Michael and Mark Shaffer. He was predeceased by grandparents, Donald B. Tooley, Dr. John P. and Arlene N. Welch, and his cousin, Matthew Cowles.

Joe will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his compassion for others, sense of humor, and passion for sports, especially golf. Most of all he will be remembered as a loving son and brother.

Family and friends may greet Joe’s family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main Street, Cheshire, CT 06410 on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 3PM until 6PM. On Monday, July 16, 2018, friends and family are invited to meet directly at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street, West Springfield, MA for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11AM. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, 420 Kings Highway, West Springfield, MA.
