Joseph F. Mazzacane Sr.

CHESHIRE – Joseph F. Mazzacane Sr., 94, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at his residence in Cheshire, with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Leota (Seeley) Mazzacane.

Mr. Mazzacane was born September 6, 1926, in New Haven, son of the late Frank and Maria (Zaino) Mazzacane. He graduated Commercial High School in 1945 and joined the United States Army. After his service he returned to New Haven, CT. Mr. Mazzacane was the owner of the Cheshire Barber Shop from 1951 until 2016. He loved his job and especially his family.

Mr. Mazzacane is survived by his three children Joseph Jr., Michael and Maria; his 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his son Frank and many siblings.

Arrangements - A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish/St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street, Cheshire. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours and The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
