Joseph Cavallaro

CHESHIRE - Joseph Cavallaro, 84, passed away September 15, 2010 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. He was the husband of Ann Cavallaro.

Mr. Cavallaro was born March 15, 1926 in New Haven the son of the late Joseph and Theresa (Cannavotula) Cavallaro Sr. He was a WWII Army Veteran and was a Cheshire resident for the last seven years having previously resided in Hamden.

Besides his wife of 57 years, Mr. Cavallaro is survived by his sons Joseph Cavallaro III and his wife Cindy of Cheshire, Carmen Cavallaro and his wife Diane of Prospect; his daughter Theresa Dogali and her husband Michael of Hamden; his sisters Mary Albano of East Haven, Lillian Sparago of West Haven, and Anna Langella of West Haven; nine grandchildren Kristin, Mark, Matthew, Carmen Jr., Jayson, Andrew, Joseph IV, Kimberly, and Kaitlin; three great grandchildren Brandon, Mark Jr. and Hunter as well as many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Friday September 17, 2010, 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St., to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mid State Medical Center, c/o Development Office, 435 Lewis Ave., Meriden, CT 06451.
