CHESHIRE - Jonathan K. Havlick, 69, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at his home. He was the husband of Roberta (Karakoosh) Havlick.
Mr. Havlick was born April 28, 1941 in Hartford, the son of Ruth (Loomis) Havlick and the late Roy W. Havlick. After graduating from Cheshire Academy, he went on to serve in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Intrepid from 1961 to 1963. Following his service in the Navy, he earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Quinnipiac College.
Jon will be remembered as a longtime resident of Cheshire, where he owned and operated Scully Auto and Truck Parts for over 35 years. He was also a Lifetime Member of The Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department. Jon will also be remembered for his love of boating, his time spent on the Connecticut River and by the community of boating friends he held dear over the years.
Besides his wife of 44 years and his mother, Mr. Havlick is survived by his daughters Jeanne Havlick of Cheshire; Nancy Pinchera and her husband Rick of MA; his three grandchildren Jonathan, Robin and Juniper Pinchera. He is also survived by his brother Jeffrey, wife Kate and their daughter Kayla all of MA; his brother in-law Philip Karakoosh, wife Sandra of Cheshire and their daughter Whitney; and his brother in-law Jeffrey Karakoosh, wife Patricia and their sons Mathew and Jacob, all of FL.
Arrangements - A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Dr. There are no calling hours and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
