Cheshire ' Jon A. Boice, 68, who was known for his famous question, "Did I tell you about this fabulous meat store?" Mr. Boice passed away Tuesday evening September 15, 2009 at the Meriden Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Beverly (Warner) Boice.
Mr. Boice was born June 29, 1941 in Greenburg, New York the son of Julia Agnes Boice of New Britain and the late Anson M. Boice. He was employed as a Heat Treater for New Britain Machine and Erickson Metals in Cheshire until his retirement in the late 1990's.
Besides his wife of 30 years, Mr. Boice is survived by his sons, Paul Boice and his wife, Anna of Berlin, William Barker and his wife, Christine of Meriden, Frank Esposito and his wife, Linda of CA; his brother, James Jason Boice and his wife, Alice of Lewes, DE; his sisters, Judith Gross of New Britain, Elizabeth Parks and her husband, Gene of Kensington, Patricia Gornealt and her husband, Larry of Middletown; his sister-in-law, Elaine Boice of Newington; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Boice is predeceased by his brother, Anson Louis Boice.
Arrangements ' Funeral services will be held on Saturday September 19, 2009 at 6 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
