NAUGATUCK – John P. Lydem, 84, passed away Thursday December 18, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of Betty (Rolfe) Lydem.
Mr. Lydem was born November 6, 1930 in St. Albions, VT, the son of the late Thomas and Amanda (Gilman) Lydem. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident where he worked at Uniroyal Chemical for over 40 years.
Besided his wife of 44 years, Mr. Lydem is survived by his sons James Lydem of Wolcott, Shawn of Waterbury, Shayne of Waterbury, Lance of Naugatuck; his daughter Loleda Grailich of Naugatuck; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Arrangements – A Funeral Service will be held on Monday Decemeber 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
