John L. Ellinger
CHESHIRE - John Leonard Ellinger, 91, of New York and Cheshire, son of the late Margaret (Leonard) and Charles Ellinger of New Rochelle, New York, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at CT Hospice, Branford.
John has been involved with the radio broadcasting field all his life and has received national acclaim for his managerial excellence.
Survived by wife Marjorie (Chain); daughter Ingrid Sadelle Ellinger-Doviak (Stephen); Grandchildren Donovan and Cordelia Doviak; cousin Carol Ann Hauglum of Tucson; twin nephews Atty Charles O’Brien (Susan) of Scottsdale, AZ; and Atty Robert (Ruth) O’Brien of Carlisle, PA; nephew Craig (MaryAnn) Sturken of Naples, FL; nieces Kathleen Harrigan of Stratford, CT; Maurine Sturken Rodrigues (James) of Deep River, CT. He is predeceased by his nephew, Fred (Coleen) Sturken of Durham, CT.
Arrangements – A Memorial Service to celebrate John’s life will be held on the date of John and Marge’s 46th wedding anniversary on Saturday May 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Seymour St John Chapel at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford. Parking is available 138 North Elm St. Burial with Military Honors will be held at the convenience of the family in St. John Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire.
