WATERBURY - John H. McQuade, 78, formerly of Cheshire, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. He was the husband of the late Julia (Keeley) McQuade.
Mr. McQuade was born October 16, 1936 in New York City, the son of the late James and Agnes (O'Brien) McQuade. He was a longtime Cheshire resident before moving to Waterbury several years ago. He was a Machine Tool Assembler for Waterbury Farrel Co. for over 30 years, retiring in 2001. He was described as being the best neighbor anyone could ever have with his ability to fix anything as well as his unending commitment to helping neighbors and friends. John was also a long time friend of Bill W.
John is survived by his sons James McQuade of Garden Grove, CA, and David McQuade of Meriden; his daughters Sandra McQuade of Meriden, and Noreen McQuade of Middlefield widow of late Johnny W. McQuade; his sister Patricia Russo of Roundtop, NY; Eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his dear friend Anne Crimmins of Waterbury.
Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 15, 2014, 9:15 from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery.
